Information and Membership Communications Officer - The ACF, London
£26,000 per annum

The Information and Membership Communications Officer (IMCO) is a key role with responsibility for developing ACF’s communication with its members, extending the use of our new CRM database, developing the functionality of our websites and responding to queries on a wide range of issues affecting foundations and donors.

The Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) is the leading membership association for the UK’s charitable and independent funders and the gateway to a wealth of expertise in funding charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises. We support funders in their work, providing opportunities for collaboration and learning; we encourage philanthropy through our project Philanthropy UK; and we represent the common interests of grant-making trusts and foundations with key Government and sector decision makers.

The Information and Membership Communications Officer (IMCO) is a key role within ACF which will support communication with our 300+ members by extending the use of our new CRM database and developing the functionality of our three websites. The IMCO will also manage members’ enquiries, write and edit contributions for member publications and work with the Deputy Chief Executive to implement ACF’s strategy for communication with members.

Essential qualities:

  • Experience of managing, developing and maintaining databases and supporting other database users
  • Up-to-date experience of maintaining and developing a complex website
  • Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respond to email and telephone queries on complex issues
  • A good understanding of the work and environment of the voluntary and community sector
  • Competent use of the office systems relevant to fulfilling job duties and responsibilities
  • Commitment to implementing equality and diversity policies
