RECRUITING MEMBERS TotalProfessions.com - the professions portal

13-Dec-2011

TotalProfessions.com is recently-launched online portal, providing a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the professions.  The website builds on the initiatives that many organisations have already undertaken to encourage fair access, and presents the professions from the unique perspective of professional bodies.

It gives an opportunity for Professional Bodies to work together to encourage access into the professions by increasing awareness of the variety of professions that exist and enabling young people and career switchers to identify the various routes into the professions. It aims to encourage people from every background to enter into the professions, and provides them with the resources necessary to realise their potential.

In addition to this, TotalProfessions.com raises the profile of professions and communicate the benefits of Professional Body membership for career development. The key audiences of the portal will be students and graduates, school pupils, those interested in switching or developing their careers, and Career Advisers (from schools, universities & the government).

The portal also engages with other organisations which support professionalism, including large employers, professional services firms, government agencies and others. The portal will offer a rich resource for aspiring professionals of all ages. It is a valuable resource for the influencers of our young target audience, including careers advisors, parents and teachers. It is also an invaluable for professionals seeking to improve their career prospects and development, as they will easily be able to locate the relevant Professional Body and understand the benefits of membership, including continual professional development.

Over 270 professional bodies are listed in the profession finder and some have paid to expand their directory entry. For more information, download the brochure or complete the booking form to secure your organisations directory entry.
